Moha

Moha ("delusion") is one of the three fundamental driving factors of existence, also known as the unwholesome roots.

Whenever there is the thought that there is no greed or hatred while in fact they are present, mind suffers from delusion. Eventually reality will collide with imagination, though, thereby ultimately causing suffering.

In our world there appear to be good reasons for being greedy or hateful, but in the end all that these states of mind do is to cause suffering. By understanding moha, these reasons can be reexamined, and many of them may turn out to be part of the problem rather than the solution.
